Novak Djokovic’s Plea for Relaxed Quarantine Regulations Rejected by Australian Government

Novak Djokovic

Serbian tennis sensation Novak Djokovic had sent a letter to the Australian Open officials, pleading to relax the strict quarantine restrictions. Prior to Novak’s letter, some other pros had also expressed their disappointment towards the hard and fast quarantine rules. However, despite the 17 times grand slam winner’s requests, the Australian government officials are reluctant to relax the restrictions.

Ben Andrews, the Premier of the State of Victoria, has reaffirmed that under no circumstance are the restrictions going to be loosened. He also said that players are free to make demands, but the authorities will not make compromises for anybody. All the 72 players who were told to go through quarantine will have to abide by the rules.

Emma Cassar, who is in charge of quarantine in Victoria, has said that she understands it is not easy to go through a 14-day quarantine period, but the community health will not be risked regardless of elite players requesting to lift some of the restrictions.

Best Portable Badminton Net Sets of 2021

Badminton racket & shuttlecock by portable badminton net set

Many people are under the mistaken impression that you need to join a badminton club to play this awesome sport. After all, badminton does need a court with a net in the middle, right? However, it is not totally impossible for you to play badminton in your own backyard if you have have your own badminton net. In fact, if you have a portable badminton net then you can even play badminton with friends & family during your weekend trip to the beach. All you need to do is to purchase one of the best portable badminton nets that suits your needs which I am going to recommend to you. Take a look at all our Equipment for Badminton recommendations which is a comprehensive guide to show you what you need to enjoy badminton to the fullest.

Portable badminton nets come with light, adjustable stands. Because of their adjustable nature, it is possible to play other sports with the same net. Your portable badminton net can easily be turned into a tennis or volleyball net. However, you should not expect the same level of efficiency as a regular net from a portable badminton net. To achieve portability, some corners have been cut. Keeping that in mind, let’s have a look at the recommendations of the best portable badminton net that I have for you.

Boulder Portable Net Set

CHECK PRICE

The first thing you need from your portable badminton net is being able to set it up within minutes. The Boulder Portable Net Set is just perfect for that. It only takes three to five minutes to set it up and start playing. If you are looking forward to getting your kids a portable badminton net set, then this is a great option. It doesn’t require complicated instructions & even children will find it extremely easy to set up.

The adjustable height of the Boulder Portable Net Set ranges from 34 to 60 inches. That is quite a big range and gives you the ability to enjoy volleyball, pickleball and tennis if you are not in the mood to play a game of badminton.

The quality of the net is pretty decent in my opinion. Boulder wants this net to last long and that’s why they did a great job of painting steel over nylon to ensure lifetime durability. The net posts are also rust resistant. You won’t see some annoying rust ruining your portable net’s post over time if you purchase this one.

Did I mention that this set comes with a bag as well? It makes it very easy to carry the net set around.

Overall, it’s a really good Christmas gift for your children if they love badminton.

Pros

  • Easy to set up
  • Lightweight
  • Adjustable for different sports
  • Durable
  • Rust resistant

Cons

  • A bit expensive compared to alternatives

Zicon Portable Badminton Net Set

CHECK PRICE

If you need a portable net of the same quality, but need a bit more width for your net then you can go with the Zicon Portable Net Set. It is almost identical to the Boulder portable net set, but gives you the ability to have a wider net to suit your purposes. While Boulder net sets are 10, 14, or 17 feet wide, the Zicon Portable Net Set comes in 13.5, 16.5, or 20 feet wide versions.

The adjustable height of the Zicon Portable Badminton Net Set ranges from 37 to 63 inches. With this height range, you will be able to easily play other sports that require a net. It pretty much follows the same setup mechanism as the Boulder one, so flexibility won’t be an issue at all.

I found this net set to be really lightweight. As it is foldable, it won’t become a nuisance when carrying it despite being quite long. The manufacturer has also included a carry bag for the users’ convenience. Like other regular nets, it is made of nylon. The poles are made of stainless steel with a coating of black iron. This sort of construction makes it really convenient to take literally anywhere, as the weather will not cause any damage to it.

In many ways the Zicon Portable Badminton Net Set is identical to its Boulder counterpart, so the quality is pretty much the same as well. No wonder both of them have made it onto my list.

Pros

  • Wide
  • Easy to set up
  • Lightweight
  • Adjustable for different sports
  • Durable
  • Rust resistant

Cons

  • A bit pricey

CYTBP Portable Badminton Net

CHECK PRICE

This is a portable badminton net has one distinct difference to the otherportable badminton nets we’ve reviewed & that is that it does not have any poles. When I heard about it for the first time, I was quite skeptical. To be honest I did not like the design at all. But after playing a few matches with this portable net, I can confidently say that this unique design actually works!

Instead of poles, the CYTBP Portable Badminton Net comes with a U shaped frame. The net is supported by the two ends of the base. To install the net, you’ll have to open it, put the two bars through the base, connect the rods in a row and use the hook on the wire to connect the hole on the rod. Even though it sounds a bit complicated, trust me, it does not take long at all. Once you get used to the mechanism, you will be able to set this free standing net up in no time.

The net is made of polyester fiber and PU. The frame contains carbon fiber, stainless steel, and iron. The manufacturer claims this product is drop resistant, rust resistant, and high temperature resistant. Well, I haven’t dropped it or had a game of badminton in the dessert yet, so I can’t confirm these claims but I haven’t had any issues with this net set, considering it’s low price point. This is the best portable badminton net for those on a tight budget.

Pros

  • Free standing
  • Easy to setup
  • Rust resistant
  • Durable
  • Affordable

Cons

  • Net width is pretty thin

Conclusion

It was a difficult job to choose three portable badminton nets for my list because there are so many good options on the market at the moment. However, I had the privilege of checking out and playing with a lot of portable badminton nets, and these three specifically caught my attention for the value they provide. If you’re considering investing in a portable badminton net, then take a look at one of these 3.

Best Tennis Strings of 2020: Cheap, Mid-Priced & Premium Tennis Racquet Strings

Best Tennis Strings

Suppose you bought one of the best tennis rackets that your local tennis shop had to offer. As the racket does not come pre-strung, you also bought the first strings set that caught your eye. And eventually, when you go to play, you discover that you are not able to place your shots where you want on the court because you didn’t buy the best tennis strings. It sucks, right?

So many tennis players I know have suffered from this issue because they choose bad quality tennis racket strings. I would like to recommend the best tennis racket strings of 2020, so that you can get the best out of your racket and improve your game.

I am going to recommend three different tennis racket strings for three different categories: budget, mid-range, and premium strings. Depending on your budget, you can choose one that fits your racket. However, a tennis racket’s performance does not always depend on the kind of strings you use. The racket itself, grip, vibration dampeners, and your own skillset determines how well you will play. Take a look at our comprehensive Tennis Equipment List with product recommendation to get an idea of what else you need to be the best tennis player you can be.

Wilson Synthetic Gut Power: Best Cheap Tennis Strings

CHECK PRICE

While cheap tennis racket strings are not known for their durability, the Wilson Synthetic Gut Power Tennis Strings is an anomaly among tons of low quality racket strings. These strings are surprisingly good and durable. Well, synthetic gut is not able to generate enormous power, but this product also comes with high energy wraps that surround the core of the strings. As a result you will be able to deliver more power with this one compared to other strings that fall into the same price bracket.

In addition, ball control is pretty decent with these strings. You won’t have to worry about misplacing your shots when using these relatively cheap tennis strings. This is one of the main reasons why I chose the Wilson Synthetic Gut Power as the best cheap tennis strings option for my list.

However, you should not expect a lot of spin and feel from the Wilson Synthetic Gut Power strings. These are not made for a more advanced level of play. I would recommend these strings to casual and beginner players who do not need tennis racket restringing done very often and don’t have the budget to spend a lot on strings. If you are past that stage, choose one from the next two.

Pros

  • Very affordable
  • Durable
  • Produces more power compared to regular synthetic gut strings
  • Provides decent level of control for the price

Cons

  • Does not provide spin or feel

Babolat RPM Blast 17g:  Mid-Priced Babolat Tennis Strings

CHECK PRICE

It’d be so cool to use the same tennis racket strings as Rafael Nadal, right? Well Rafa used to play with Babolat RPM Blast tennis strings back in 2010. It is one of the most popular and cherished strings of tennis players the world over. You’ll be surprised to know that these great quality racket strings are not even remotely close to the most expensive tennis racket strings on the market. This means you don’t have to pay large sums of money to use such a great product!

The most unique feature of the Babolat RPM Blast 17g is the octagonal shape. This is to date one of the best ever strings for spin.  Apart from being able to generate some awesome spin, these strings also feel great. Its soft surface ensures that you don’t have to deal with a lot of vibration while receiving your opponent’s serves.

However, if you are a player with big strokes these strings might not be the best option for you because they are not well-known for producing power. You know, Rafa himself was not a player who depended on brute force, so it’s understandable that his racket strings of choice back in 2010 would not focus solely on pure power. The Babolat RPM Blast tennis strings will give you more control, comfort, and feel. If these are the qualities you’re looking for then the Babolat RPM Blast 17g is definitely the strings you should take a serious look at!

Pros

  • Octagonal shape
  • Great for control
  • Best for spin
  • Feels great
  • Receives serves with comfort

Cons

  • Does not generate a lot of power

Babolat VS Touch Natural Gut: Premium Babolat Tennis Strings

CHECK PRICE

If you want to invest in the best tennis racket strings, the Babolat VS Touch Natural Gut is your obvious pick. It might sound like a turn off when I reveal that these strings are made of polyester, but hear me out. Regardless of the fact that these tennis strings are made of polyester, these strings come with the original traits that are seen in natural gut strings. So what are these traits? Stability, spin, control, and durability.

The Babolat VS Touch Natural Gut has innovative technologies like Thermogut and BT7, making it one of the most durable strings out there. According to Babolat, these technologies have drastically improved these strings’ durability and longevity. In addition, the newest version of the Babolat VS Touch Natural Gut is 60% more resistant to humidity. This means that you won’t have to worry about your strings getting ruined when the weather is hot and humid.

These racket strings tick all the boxes an advanced level tennis player might want from their strings. The VS Touch Natural Gut is great for power, spin & control. The price is on the higher side and paying this much for 16 gauge racket strings might sound unreasonable, but the quality of these strings are totally unmatched.

Pros

  • Natural gut feel
  • BT7 and Thermogut technologies
  • 60% more humidity resistant
  • Durable and long lasting
  • Great for spin, control, and power
  • Feels great

Cons

  • Relatively expensive

Conclusion

These were my recommendations for the best tennis racket strings of 2020. However, there are many other good options at different price points. For example, a few dollars more than the most affordable option, a few dollars less than the premium option etc. I just wanted to cover three of the most common price points. If you know of some other great tennis racket strings, feel free to let me and our readers know about them. We would love to know your thoughts!

Wilson Clash 100 Tennis Racquet

If you are to name the top 5 tennis racket brands of all time, I am quite sure you will include Wilson. Wilson is one of the most famous tennis equipment manufacturers worldwide. Wilson’s state of the art rackets are loved by both casual and professional tennis players. One of the great tennis players of all time, Roger Federer, has used Wilson tennis rackets throughout his career, so they must be doing something right :-). Wilson Clash 100 Specs & Features

Design and Build

If you are looking for a large, but light racket then the Wilson Clash 100 will serve you well. With a large head size of 100 square inches, the Wilson Clash 100 tennis racket is built for beginner to pro level tennis players. It’s definitely not one of the stiffest rackets on the market and the graphite frame compliments that very well.

The most amazing part of the design of the Wilson Clash 100 tennis racquet is its flexible nature. Despite the large head size, it only weighs 10.9 ounces when strung. As a result, it is very easy to maneuver. Players who love speed and acceleration will find this racket an ideal racket of choice.

Technologies

There are two innovative technologies that are responsible for the flexible nature of this racket. With FreeFlex and StableSmart the racket feels really crisp and solid and at the same time does not weigh that much.

Color

The color combination of black, gray and red is liked by many who play with this racket, but some are not a fan. Color is obviously a personal preference & shouldn’t really be a reason to buy or not buy a tennis racket. Anyways, a racket’s color will not determine how well you will play with it, so it’s not a reason to overlook the other qualities this racket has.

Strings and Grip

I have seen a lot of players falling for a racket’s size, material, and implemented technologies while totally ignoring the grip. This is a grave mistake. You have to hold your racket first before you can actually hit the tennis ball and then start winning matches. If the grip your racket comes with is not good, then you are not going to play well.

I don’t think you have anything to worry about the grip of the Wilson Clash 100 tennis racquet. It has a standard grip size choice of 4 1/2 in(114mm), 4 3/8 in(111mm), 4 1/4 in(108mm) & 4 1/8 in(105mm). The handle part of the racket is slightly heavier than the head, and the grip feels quite comfortable. The standard grip size means you can easily wrap an overgrip if you have a bigger palm and want to hold the racket firmly. The best part is that it comes with a pre-installed Wilson Pro Performance grip. This is one of the most popular grips from Wilson, and my experience with this has been great so far. However, I don’t have sweaty hands in particular, so you may want to get a towel overgrip if your hands sweat a lot during a match.

The string setup of the Wilson Clash 100 aims for speed and spin. It has a one-piece string setup with no shared holes. The 16 mains/19 crosses pattern is pretty standard. There’s nothing fancy about string tension as well, as it ranges from 48 to 58 pounds.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • The Wilson Clash 100 is one of the most flexible tennis rackets you can find at this price point. With technologies like FreeFlex and StableSmart, this racket is great for versatile players who love long rallies and aim to force an error from their opponent.
  • This racket is great for beginner to advanced level players. Despite having a large sweet spot, it’s not very heavy. It makes it much easier for beginner players to get the hang of the basics of tennis.
  • As the Wilson Clash 100 is made of graphite, this is a racket that will last for an extended period of time. If you buy this racket you won’t have to buy another for at least two years, unless you are prone to racket abuse 🙂
  • It comes with a really good quality grip. The Wilson Pro Performance grip feels great in hand, and provides the perfect support to generate speed and spin.
  • The string tension of the Wilson Clash 100 is really convenient for beginner players because it belongs to the range where receiving the ball is much easier even with a low level of skill.

Cons

  • If you are a power player, this racket is not for you. The Wilson Clash 100 is designed and developed mainly for players who want control & those who love flexibility, speed, and spin. It does not generate enormous power for the users to overwhelm their opponents. If you are looking for something powerful then the Babolat Pure Drive is a great choice.

CHECK PRICE

Conclusion

In my experience, this is one of the best tennis rackets any tennis player can buy. Sure, it is not as cheap as some other rackets, but the control that the Wilson Clash 100 tennis racket gives players makes it worth it’s weight in gold. It’s one of the rare tennis rackets on the market today that can be used by beginner & advanced players alike. It is highly recommended.

What do you think of the Wilson Clash 100? Have you used it before? Let me know in the comment section.

Joola Ping Pong Table Reviews: 3 Best Ping Pong Tables from Joola

Joola Nova Table Tennis Table

Ping pong, AKA table tennis, is an incredibly popular sport. It’s no surprise that it has become even more popular during the lockdown period we all had to endure because of the COVID-19 pandemic. As a result of the pandemic it is not as safe to go out to take part in physical activities, so we had to do our best to entertain ourselves & stay fit while staying at home. Ping pong is very convenient to play at home. If you have a table, paddles, ping pong balls & the essential Equipment for Table Tennis. Speaking of tables, Joola is arguably the most famous ping pong table brand online. In my Joola ping pong table reviews, I’ll tell you just how good Joola ping pong tables are, by reviewing three of the best ping pong tables from this famous brand.

About Joola

Joola is a globally renowned table tennis equipment manufacturer. Though Joola USA is more famous nowadays, the company started its journey in Germany in 1952 when the sport department of the legendary department store group Jooss took the initiative to produce Joola’s first ever table tennis table.

Richard Lee is the founder of Joola North America. In the continent, Joola has been very active in the table tennis industry. Forming a partnership with North American Table Tennis (NATT), Joola has made its bonds much stronger with the sport in North America. For the past twenty years Joola has won the hearts of so many ping pong lovers across America. Renowned for the quality of their products, it is expected that Joola will continue to expand their operations in different parts of the world in the upcoming years.

Isn’t it quite intriguing that the company entered the table tennis industry with tables? No wonder their most famous products are ping pong tables. By now, you might be really excited to know about the quality and features of the main ping pong tables Joola produces, let’s get into that right now!

Height: 30 inches(762mm)

Storage Dimensions: 36 x 36 inches(915 x 915mm)

Net & Posts Included: Yes

Assembly Time: 100% Preassembled

You know, so many people are afraid of creating a small table tennis space in their homes because they believe that they will have to spend a fortune to purchase a table & need tons of space to play. A Ping pong table is substantially the most expensive piece of table tennis equipment you need to buy in order to play the game, but that does not mean there are not many good, affordable options. The Joola Midsize Compact Table is by far the best in this category.

To begin with, this is not a competition size ping pong table. Well, you can’t expect one at this price either. This table is designed and built specifically for the people who want to play table tennis at home, but don’t have much space. Its smaller size might not let you play competitive level ping pong, but it’s small size has great benefits.

Benefits of a Small Ping Pong Table

Firstly, the small size means that it requires a smaller space to set up & play your ping pong game in. As you’ll see in the video below, it requires much less space compared to a competition sized ping pong table. Why should people living in apartments or families with smaller free space be deprived of enjoying fun games of ping pong during their spare time. The other huge benefit is that this table requires less space to store it when it’s not being used. You can easily fit it inside a closet once you are done playing. This way you won’t have to dedicate an entire space for your ping pong table.

Unlike competition size ping pong tables, you won’t have to take the trouble of assembling this one from scratch. The design ensures hassle free quick-set up as the table is 100% preassembled. It is divided into two equal parts, each part having U-shaped legs. You can fold the legs underneath when you no longer need it. When you want to play ping pong, put the two parts together and set up the net at the middle. It does not get easier than this! The 2 individual halves of the ping pong table can also be used as 2 stand alone tables which are ideal when you have a couple of friends over for your regular poker night.

So many expensive ping pong tables don’t come with net and post sets, and I can’t stress this enough! Joola ping pong tables never disappoint in that regard. I was quite amazed to see that Joola is generous enough to include the net and post set at this price. This is a definite steal!

Pros

  • Compact size for house ping pong players
  • No assembling required
  • Comes with net and post set
  • Multi-purpose use
  • Extremely affordable

Cons

  • Base material is not the best quality

Folded Length:  62 inches

If you want to bring some tournament quality table tennis in your home, then the Joola Inside Table Tennis Table is the perfect choice for you. This Joola ping pong table comes in competition-grade 9×5 foot regulation size. That means, even Olympic table tennis is played on tables of the same dimension.

It is not the cheapest ping pong table around, but the features included in the Joola Inside completely justify the price. It is made of medium-density fiberboard, making it very durable and aesthetically pleasing. You can choose from four different options in terms of color coating thickness. I personally prefer the 18mm version. It is thick enough to last for a long period of time, at the same time not too thick to affect bouncing balls.

Easy Assembly

Like every other competition size ping pong table, it also needs to be assembled. However, don’t be afraid, the assembling process is pretty much hassle free. The manufacturer delivers this table 95% pre-assembled. You’ll need just around 10-15 minutes to take care of the rest. All you need to do is to attach the legs with the 8 bolts that come with the package. The legs are pretty flexible as well, as you can adjust leg height to create a level playing surface.

Though the Joola Inside is a heavy ping pong table, you won’t face much difficulty moving it around because of the separate 4-wheel trolley system. The table is divided into two parts, and you can fold it on the trolley system to conveniently move it around. You’ll receive additional piece of mind due to the automatic anti-tilting locking devices and locking caster wheels.

Due to the foldable nature of the Joola Inside, you will be able to practice even when you don’t have a partner. Just fold one of the two parts vertically and hit the ball on its surface. I know that it’s not the most enjoyable ping pong training routine, but something is better than nothing, right?

Like all the other Joola ping pong tables I’ve reviewed, the Joola Inside also comes with a net and post set. In fact, the net and post set provided with this table is premium quality. Are you ready to enjoy some exciting ping pong at home?

Pros

  • Tournament level table dimensions
  • Thick MDF paint coating
  • Easy to move around
  • Easy to assemble
  • Premium build quality
  • Comes with premium quality net and post set

Cons

  • The locking mechanism can break under pressure

If money is not an issue for you and you want the absolute best, then the Joola Nova DX is the ping pong table you are looking for. This is one of the best ping pong tables Joola has ever produced. You already know how great Joola ping pong tables are, so there is no doubt about the quality of the best of the bunch.

You can play with this ping pong table anywhere, as long as there is enough space. Want to play outdoors? Buy it. Want to play indoors? Still buy it! It is a tournament size ping pong table that is used in official competitions as well. If you are thinking of opening a table tennis club, it won’t be complete without having one of these beasts!

The Joola Nova DX is made of the best quality fiberboard. I don’t know if you would face any issues with this table, but durability is definitely not going to be one of them. You will be able to continue playing on this ping pong table without any repairs for many years as long as you look after it properly.

Easy Assembly

Just like the Joola Inside, the Nova DX is also very easy to assemble. Due to the package including a 95% assembled table, you won’t have to take the trouble of doing everything yourself. All you need to do is to install the legs, and you are done! The 4-wheel trolley system is really efficient.  You will be able to easily move around this table to wherever you want. The three-inch heavy duty caster wheels are able to glide over rough surfaces as well. You can easily take the table outdoors with the trolley.

The folding mechanism of the Joola Nova DX is absolutely brilliant. I haven’t seen any ping pong table that can be folded so easily. The modern engineering makes it easy to fold and store in a large closet if necessary. You’ll have to take the legs off though.

Just like the table top, the legs are very durable too. With leg thickness of 40mm x 40mm, you can just assemble it in your gym & forget about it being damaged. Moreover, you will receive a weather resistant net set along with net tensioning system and a classic screw design. This means you can keep the table outdoors with the nets installed. The weather will not be able to damage it. Basically price of this ping pong table is higher than the Joola Inside because of these better quality accessories.

Pros

  • Best for both indoors and outdoors
  • Weather resistant
  • Perfect apron thickness
  • Heavy duty caster wheels
  • Easy to fold
  • Easy to assemble
  • Beautiful design

Cons

  • A bit on the heavier side
  • Higher price tag

How to Choose a Ping Pong Table?

Well, this section is not particularly about Joola Ping Pong tables.  When you’re looking to investing in a ping pong table it is important to know how you should choose the ping pong table that’s best for your needs. I want to describe the major factors that should determine your choice.

Dimensions of a Ping Pong Table

You might wonder why dimensions should be considered when purchasing a ping pong table. First, you have to decide where you want to keep your ping pong table. You may want to keep it in the free space of your garage to occasionally play with your friends. If that is the case, then you might not have enough space for a competition sized ping pong table. You should settle with a midsized one. Go for an even smaller one if midsized ones don’t fit in your free space you intended to use. Likewise, having enough space in your house or your back yard should motivate you to buy a full-sized table tennis table.

Full size tables mean that you can hit the ping pong ball as hard as you would if you were playing in a tournament which will help improve you game.  If you decide to take table tennis up as a sport & join a club then you will be used to playing on the correct size table. The amount of space you have to store your table when you’re not playing on it is also very important. Knowing how much space you have for storage and comparing that to the dimensions of the table when it is folded is also very important to know if the table will fit into your home.

Portability of a Ping Pong Table

Portability depends on two things. First of all, is it easy to move the table around? Ideally you may not want to move your ping pong table that much, but there will be times when it will become a necessity. If your ping pong table is too difficult to move, you’ll have a hard time. Secondly, is the table foldable? Foldable ping pong tables are not only easy to move around, but also can be stored in closets in some instances. This is a great way to save space, and enjoy playing table tennis at home. If it is an indoors/outdoors ping pong table which can be played on both indoors & outdoors then moving it from inside your home to outside on a warm day can make the portability of the table very important

Coating of a Ping Pong Table

The coating, or paint on the table is really important. Eventually, the coating determines how the ball is going to bounce when you play on the table. If the paint thickness is not enough, you won’t be able to control the ball properly.  Ball spin is an essential component of ping pong, but bad coating messes it up big time. The quality of the paint is another consideration you have to make. Low quality paint gets damaged over time, causing you to spend extra money.

Brand Value

Last but not the least, you have to consider the brand value of the manufacturer you are buying the table from. Ping pong tables are very expensive and you wouldn’t want to spend your money on a low quality product. That’s why going for trusted brands is always recommended. My personal favorites are Joola ping pong tables.

Conclusion

Joola has manufactured so many ping pong tables over the course of decades. Whenever they manufactured a new one, it created a lot of fuss among table tennis lovers as well as professional table tennis players. Over time Joola made a lot of new additions to their ping pong tables in order to make sure their tables stay ahead of the competition.  Joola takes feedback from their consumers very seriously and it has been reflected very well in their last few ping pong tables. So, which one of these ping pong tables is your favorite? Let me know in the comment section!

Best Tennis Racket Bags: Compact, Medium & Large

Tennis Racket Bag with tennis racquet & tennis ball

Whether you’re a beginner, intermediate or advanced tennis player you need certain items of tennis equipment & accessories in order to enjoy your game to the fullest. It doesn’t matter if you’re a social tennis player who plays once a week with friends or if you’re a competitive player who practices during the week & plays matches on weekends, the fact is that you’ve got to take your tennis equipment & accessories with you to the court each time. The logical choice to carry all this tennis gear to the tennis court would be a good quality tennis bag. I want to introduce you to three of the best tennis bags. Depending on your needs, you can choose one of them. I chose my picks based on three size categories: compact, medium and large sized tennis bags.

Having your own tennis bag will not only carry your tennis gear and accessories around, but also will give you a morale boost as you feel like an actual tennis player. May not know it, but playing tennis requires a lot of equipment. You can have a look at the full list in our Ultimate Tennis Equipment List where we give you great product recommendations too.

While purchasing a bag for tennis, you must give highest priority to quality. Tennis accessories are expensive, and you want them to remain safe. Low quality bags will not be able to give the protection you need for your tennis equipment. Moreover, bags that are designed specifically for tennis are better choices for this purpose. You shouldn’t just buy any random backpack and try to use it as your tennis bag.

Let’s take a look at my picks.

HEAD Tour Team Tennis Backpack: Compact

HEAD Tour Team Tennis Backpack Review

Overall Rating: 4.8 out of 5

Style: Tennis Backpack

Size: 14 x 7 x 22inches(356 x 178 x 559mm)

Volume(L): 21

Racquet Capacity: 2 or 1 with other equipment

Shoe Compartment: Yes

Pockets: 1 Front Zip, 2 Side Mesh

Padded Shoulder Straps: Yes

Outside Material: 95% Polyester / 5% Pumaterial

Inside Material: 100% Polyester

If you’re a social tennis player who plays once a week or less, then this backpack is just fine for you. Head is one of the best brands when it comes to tennis gear and they have also done a brilliant job with this backpack. The HEAD Tour Team Tennis Backpack looks simply amazing. I was blown away by the design and aesthetics when I first saw it and I am quite sure you’ll like it too.

As it is a tennis backpack, it is not going to offer as  much space as a regular tennis bag. So if you are planning on carrying 4-5 rackets at a time, you should look for something more spacious. The HEAD Tour Team Tennis Backpack comes with one large compartment which is large enough for two rackets alone or 1 racket along with your other tennis gear.

Head assures us that you will keep your rackets like new if you carry them in the Tour Team Tennis Backpack. Apart from the main compartment, there is an integrated shoe compartment for you to store those sweaty, smelly shoes after a long game of tennis. It’s always a great idea keeping your shoes separate from your tennis clothes and other accessories.

The longevity of this backpack is the best feature in my opinion. Once you buy this, you can forget about purchasing any other tennis backpack for a number of years.

Pros

  • Accommodates up to two rackets
  • Separate shoe compartment
  • Top quality fabric
  • Beautiful design
  • Easy to carry with padded shoulder straps

Cons

  • If you have more accessories, you have to sacrifice the space for one racket

HEAD Core 6R Tennis Racket Bag: Medium Sized

HEAD Core 6R Tennis Bag Review

Overall Rating: 4.3 out of 5

Style: Tennis Duffle Bag

Size: 30 x 12.5 x 11 inches(760 x 320 x 280mm)

Volume(L): 50

Racquet Capacity: 6

Shoe Compartment: No

Compartments: 2 Main

Pockets: 1 Small Zip Accessories Pocket

Padded Shoulder Straps: Yes

Outside Material: 100% Polyester

Inside Material: 100% Polyester

If you need to carry 4-6 tennis rackets for your trip to the tennis court then you need something bigger than a backpack. The HEAD Core 6R Tennis Bag is my choice for players with exactly this requirement. The design of this duffle bag is quite simple. It has two big main compartments where you can keep all your tennis essentials, including 6 rackets!

There is a separate accessory pocket at the exterior side to keep smaller items like keys or phones. If you want to carry shoes and apparel, you’ll have to sacrifice the space for two rackets in the main compartment. However, 4 rackets is usually enough for intermediate level tennis players. After all, changing your racket too frequently during a match is not good for consistency either.

The zippers in this duffle bag are top notch. I personally have one of these, and none of the zippers ever got stuck or gave me a difficult time to move them. The exterior is made of top quality polyester fabric. The Head Core 6R Tennis Bag is built to last, and it will last if it isn’t abused by it’s owner.

Pros

  • Carries up to 6 rackets
  • Adequate space for smaller accessories
  • Premium quality polyester fabric in the exterior
  • Solid zippers
  • Padded interior to keep rackets safe
  • Easy to carry Shoulder Straps

Cons

  • The interior compartments are not adjustable

Wilson Super Tour 2 Tennis Bag Review

Overall Rating: 4.6 out of 5

Style: Tennis Duffle Bag

Size: 30 x 11.5 x 13inches(760 x 290 x 330mm)

Racquet Capacity: 9

Shoe Compartment: No

Compartments: 2 Main – 1 with Dual Air Vents & 1 with Thermoguard Lining

Pockets 1: 2 Small Fleece-lined Side Accessories Pockets

Pockets 2: 2 Large Exterior Personal Items Storage Side Pockets

Pocket 3: Hidden Interior Zip Pocket for Valuables

Padded Shoulder Straps: Yes

Material: Canvas Weave Polyester with TPU Coating

If you don’t feel comfortable without having all your tennis accessories at your disposal when you go on a tennis tour, then the Wilson Super Tour Tennis Bag should be your perfect companion. This duffle bag has four different versions, and the largest one can carry up to 15 rackets! Well, this is overkill in my opinion because I haven’t met any player who carries 15 rackets at a time. But with any tennis equipment it’s often personal choice & personal preference, so I’m sure there are tennis players who like a very large tennis bag to store all their tennis gear & more. For most heavy duty tennis players, the 9 racket hold version of this bag would do just fine.

Extra Features

Apart from racket compartments, it has 2 fleece line side accessory pockets, 2 exterior side pockets for personal storage, and adequate space for apparel, shoes, and other accessories. You can keep your accessories organized with the removable interior divider. There is a hidden zippered pocket in the inside to keep your valuables safe. To keep your goodies secure, it comes with dual air vents in the one main compartment and a thermoguard lining in the other. The air vent are to help with odor caused by perspiration soaked clothes & gear while the thermoguard lining protects your equipment from harsh temperature changes on the one hand or to keep your cold hydration drinks cool on the other hand.

This bag is made of red canvas weave polyester with a TPU coating. You won’t have to worry about its durability.

Pros

  • Massive space in main compartments
  • Separate compartments for other side accessories
  • Premium quality zippers
  • Adjustable interior space
  • Padded shoulder straps
  • Air vents and thermoguard lining
  • TPU Coating

Cons

  • A bit heavy

Conclusion

So, how many rackets do you carry during your trips to the tennis court? And which one of these tennis bags are suitable for your needs? Let me and our readers know about your preferences. Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments section. If you think there are some other bags that deserve to get onto the list of best tennis bags, please feel free to let us know.

New Babolat Pure Drive 2021 Review: How Good is this Racket?

Babolat Pure Drive 2021 Tennis Racquet

Remember Andy Roddick? If you are a 90’s kid and loved tennis since your childhood, then you definitely remember how an underdog stole the show in the US Open of 2003 and clinched the title. Those glory days of Andy ended quite a few years ago, but he still has a special place in American tennis fans’ heart. Well, this post is not about the man himself, but the racket he used to play with. Though a Babolat Pure Drive tennis racquet was named after Andy in the later stages of his career, he played with the Babolat Pure Drive for a long period of time. In this Babolat Pure Drive review, I’d like to discuss how good this racket actually is.

Babolat brings new versions of their racket lines out every year and the newest version of this racket is the Babolat Pure Drive 2021. It’s not just tennis heroes from the past that played with the Babolat Pure Drive, today’s top players such as Dominic Thiem  &  Kim Clijsters perform at the highest level with the Babolat Pure Drive 2021. I’ll focus on this latest model.

If you are one of Andy’s fans, like myself, and want to know if this racket is right for you then you will find this article very resourceful. I know there are many tennis players who wonder if they should buy a Babolat Pure Drive2021 tennis racquet. If you are one of them, then consider this as your buying guide.

Features and Specifications

Design and Build

Babolat tennis rackets are renowned for their large head sizes, and the Pure Drive is no different. With a head size of 100 square inches this racket comes with a considerably large sweet spot. Tennis rackets that have large head sizes tend to compromise length, but that is not the case with the Babolat Pure Drive. It has a length of 27 inches, making it one of the longest rackets out there. This is very convenient for advanced tennis players as they prefer long rackets.

The base material that has been used to build this racket is graphite. If you have previous experience with graphite rackets, then you already understand how durable this material is. Graphite rackets are built to last for an extended period of time, and the Babolat Pure Drive tennis racquet will serve you for many years if you maintain it properly.

I’d have to say this racket is a bit on the heavier side, but that is not necessarily a negative in my opinion. Babolat tennis rackets are built to generate maximum power with minimum output, so the weight is necessary. It is a head-light racket, so the grip is heavier compared to the head part.

Grip and Strings

One of the most significant benefits of owning a Babolat racket is, you will receive good quality grip and strings with it. There is no need to spend additional money to install better quality grips and strings, as the pre-installed ones are really good. The Babolat Pure Drive comes with Babolat’s signature Syntec Pro grip, one of the best grips out there. With 1.9mm thickness, this grip feels great in hand. Even if you have sweaty hands, I don’t think you need to get a sweat-resistant overgrip. It is convenient to use for players who have a sweat problem.

Babolat Pure Drive Strings

The Babolat Pure Drive tennis racket has Dunlop S-gut 16 strings. Stringing pattern has 16 mains and 19 crosses, a perfect standard for rackets with large sweet spots. The magic happens in the swing tension department, as it ranges from 50 to 59 pounds. This is indeed a lot, and will help power players win a lot of matches. On top of that, the strings are capable of absorbing the force when you receive a powerful forehand. The vibration is minimum, and you will not find it difficult to place your returns where you want.

CHECK PRICE

Technologies Used

Woofer

I simply could not complete my Babolat Pure Drive 2021 review without mentioning the signature Woofer Technology, specifically developed by Babolat. To understand this technology, you need to know the basics of a tennis racket itself. Tennis rackets come with a frame that has strings. The frame’s job is to hold the driving force of the racket that is created by the strings. When you hit the ball with your tennis racket, only a few parts of the strings are active. This is where the Woofer technology comes into it’s own. Babolat aims to unleash the full potential of their rackets with this technology. Woofer ensures that all parts of the strings work together to put maximum impact behind the ball.

Firstly, Woofer prevents string lockups, so that all the strings are free to move. Secondly, Woofer makes sure the whole surface of the racket head gets involved while making a shot. The large sweet spot is responsible for this. Great surface deformation on impact generates 10% more power, and the strings are also able to maintain the energy for quite some time. Shock absorption makes the racket more forgiving, so less experienced tennis players or those having a dip in form will find it very useful as well.

FSI Power

As the name suggests, FSI power technology is for enhancing the power the racket generates. The new string pattern & diamond shaed grommets keeps the spacing between cross strings wide, the string tension can put more force behind the ball when you hit it. On top of that, you will receive a greater range of movement for the strings. This creates a wider sweetspot across the width of the racket frame. Wider spaces also make it much easier to receive powerful serves without hitting the ball too hard. Players will love this technology because it even allows you to maximize power with shots that are hit off centre.

Cortex Pure Feel

The Cortex Pure Feel technology has made it extremely comfortable for players to play with this racket. It makes a great sound when you hit a forehand and you will feel the cleanliness of the impact in your hands instantly.

HTR System

Babolat Pure Drive Technologies

The HTR system is a relatively new addition to the current generation of Babolat rackets. The graphite layup has been re-engineered in the 2021 version of the Babolat Pure Drive. It comes with higher torsional rigidity. As a result, you will be able to transfer more energy to the ball. It also makes sure that the energy is kept under control when necessary. Even if you return a fast paced shot with the Pure Drive, you will be able to keep the ball inside the court as long as you are hitting it with the sweet spot of your racket.

Who Should Use the New Babolat Pure Drive 2021Tennis Racquet?

We started our discussion reminiscing about Andy Roddick and now we are going back to him once again. Remember the type of player he was? He used to rely on power! And the Babolat Pure Drive is for players who have a similar style of play. If you have carefully read through the technologies that have been used in this racket, you already know that this racket is built for power.

Players who have a strong forehand but want more spin in their shots, should choose this racket with their eyes closed. Spin-friendly targeting and explosive acceleration are the strongest points of the Babolat Pure Drive 2021.

Despite being a bit on the heavy side, this racket has exceptional all-court mobility. You can easily hit winners when charging to the front of court or while on the run. Doesn’t that remind you of Andy Roddick himself? If you are versatile in using different parts of the court to smash winners or force errors from your opponent, this racket will be your best companion in your mission.

However, if you are an absolute beginner who is just getting the hang of tennis, I would not recommend this racket for a number of reasons. First of all, generally beginners are not good at handling heavy rackets well. Your hands might strain or you may just lose points for not being able to maneuver the racket fast enough. Secondly, many beginners simply lose interest in tennis after playing for a short period of time. This tennis racket is relatively expensive. There is no need to spend so much money for your first racket unless you are absolutely sure that you are going to play tennis for a long time.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Brilliant design and build quality
  • Exceptional technologies to enhance power and efficiency
  • Shock absorption for strong returns
  • High string tension
  • Good quality strings and grip
  • Large sweet spot
  • Perfect weight distribution

Cons

  • A bit heavy for beginners
  • High Price Point

Conclusion

We wanted to answer if Andy Roddick’s racket is any good, and it’s damn good! Sure, it’s price point is higher than the average tennis racket, but the Babolat Pure Drive 2021 tennis racquet should be seen as an investment not an expense. Remember, it is an intermediate to advanced player level racket that comes with a lot of features you won’t find in mid-range options. So don’t think that the price is not justified, it absolutely is. The technologies used in this racket are simply amazing. With the new additions, it is the racket to watch out for in 2021!

Best Racquetball Goggles of 2020: For Every Budget

Racquetball player wearing racquetball goggles

I’ll be very honest with you, racquetball goggles are definitely not among compulsory gears you need to play racquetball. Not wearing goggles will not improve your performance. On the contrary, some players believe that wearing goggles will hamper their performance because the discomfort they feel while wearing a pair. Regardless, I would highly recommend you to wear goggles in racquetball. What if a rogue racquetball ball hits your eye and damages your eyesight for life? No one should take that risk. That’s why I would like to introduce you to the best racquetball goggles of 2020. I understand that not everyone has the same budget, so I have recommendations for three price points: affordable, mid-range, and premium.

While HEAD is not famous for producing budget sports gear, their basic racquetball goggles is an exception to that. Firstly, you won’t find too many cheaper options from a reputable brand. Secondly, it comes with features that might even beat mid-range goggles.

I am not a big fan of plastic frames and polycarbonate lenses, and this pair of goggles has them both. However, HEAD has made the goggles anti fog and scratch resistant too. I won’t guarantee that it will never become fogged up because of the technology used to manufacture the single lens. However, it is way better than most other relatively cheap goggles that don’t have any protection at all.

The impact resistance in these basic HEAD  racquetball goggles is satisfactory. I would not recommend it to someone who plays racquetball competitively, but for those who play racquetball socially it gets the job done very well. It also comes with adjustable elastic straps. You won’t have to worry about your goggles slipping off your head.

Pros

  • Anti-fog and scratch resistant
  • Meets ANSI Z87.1 for impact protection
  • Lightweight design
  • Very affordable

Cons

  • The plastic frame is not as strong as pricier goggles

“I was skeptical about these because they’re fairly cheap. Similarly priced goggles I’ve had in the past always fogged and didn’t fit super well. These fit me really well, and surprisingly, don’t fog at all! I get REALLY sweaty during games and I don’t wear a sweatband. They sit really close on my face, and within a minute of putting them on and starting game play, I don’t even notice them.” Review by Payel from the United States

“These glasses are perfect. They have an adjustable heavy elastic which keeps them on my head. I was concerned they would make my vision foggy when playing racketball. I was happy they are very easy and clear to see through. They hug my eye area, making me feel totally protected.”

If you can extend your budget a little, you will be able to get racquetball goggles that take a massive leap in quality compared to the more affordable goggles or protective glasses. That’s why I always recommend the new players to go for the mid-range priced options. These goggles will be able to give you a premium experience at a decent price. The Python Xtreme View is my favorite at this price point.

Python is very reliable when it comes to racquetball accessories. The Python Xtreme View eyeguard is the best choice in the mid-range racquetball goggles category by quite a margin. If you look around, you will surely find quite a few goggles that are cheaper than the Python Xtreme View, but those goggles are simply not worth the money. Let me tell you why this one is the best in this price range.

The most common problem people face with cheap and mid-range goggles is that the lenses fog up too soon. To keep the price down the quality of lenses is not that great in these goggles. Python Xtreme View does not have much better lenses than other relatively cheap goggles. However, it is designed in a way to address this fogging issue I mentioned. The lenses are set in a way so that they don’t come too close to the user’s face. As a result, even if the user sweats a lot, they won’t become foggy.

It also does the basic things right. The body is made of plastic and rubber, but durable enough to protect your eyes from getting hit by rogue balls. The two-piece lens design takes care of the aesthetics as well. On top of that, it’s design makes sure one can wear it with or without the head strap.

Pros

  • Does not become foggy
  • Comfortable to wear
  • Great design
  • Durable
  • Great value for money

Cons

  • Lens quality could’ve been better

“I bought these to replace a pair of Head racquetball glasses that I really liked (note to all: don’t try to use Magic Eraser to get a ball mark of your lenses). I went with these due to price and style. Having now used them for a bunch of times playing, I would definitely recommend them. Besides not fogging up, they fit so well that I don’t need to use the strap anymore, which is one less thing to wash. Assuming they hold up well to a ball strike (not looking to test that out anytime soon!), I will definitely get these again, should the need arise.”                   Review written by Seth from the United States

“They fit snuggly without giving a headache and, most importantly, no fogging at all after playing for well over an hour (lots of sweating). I have never owned another pair of racquetball goggles, but I would certainly recommend these!” Review by Samuel from the United States

If you are looking for something that falls into the ‘best money can buy’ category, then my obvious pick would be Gearbox Vision Eyewear. It comes with a lot of features that you won’t find in budget options. If your pocket is deep or you’re looking for good quality racquetball goggles that’s a long term investment, you should consider the Gearbox Vision Protective Eyewear for sure.

These racquetball glasses are designed to last with the durable anti-fog and scratch resistant coating. You won’t have to worry about your vision being blocked due to these glasses fogging up.

No racquetball goggles in the same price range does a better job of protecting the players’ eyes from ball impact. The Gearbox Vision exceeds ASTM F803 standards easily, and provides ultimate eye protection to aggressive players who prefer fast paced play.

If you are against goggles because you don’t find them comfortable, I would suggest you to give the Gearbox Vision a try. It has rubber nose pads to make sure that wearing a pair does not become a nuisance for the player. I am pretty sure that you will find it very comfortable and wouldn’t mind wearing a pair during your racquetball matches.

  • Very comfortable to wear
  • Exceedsd ASTM F803 standards
  • UV 400 protection
  • Anti-fog and scratch resistant coating
  • Beautiful design

Which One to Choose

It depends on two factors, your budget and your priorities. If you are an occasional player who only plays with friends during weekends & don’t want to spend a lot on your hobby then go for the cheapest option. . If you want to take racquetball a bit more seriously and possibly wish to attend competitions in the future, then I would suggest you to purchase a pair of mid-range goggles. Competitions are way more intense than occasional matches, so you will need better gear and accessories. And lastly, if you want to become a more serious racquetball player, you should get the best pair of racquetball goggles, provided you have the budget to do so. Most professional players use premium gear, and they will get an advantage over you if you have below par accessories.

Head i110 Squash Racquet: Beginner’s Choice

Overview

Head i110 Squash Racquet Review

Overall Rating: 4.4 out of 5

Swing Style: Power

Length: 27 inches(686 mm)

Balance: Head Heavy – 14 – 14 3/4 inches(355-375 mm)

Head Size: 77 square inches(495 square cm)

Frame: Titanium/ Graphite Composite

Beam: 3/4 inch (19.5 mm)

Weight:  3.9 ounces(110g)

String Pattern: 12/17

Grip Size: 3 7/8 inches(98 mm)

To consider a squash racket as the best beginner’s squash racquets choice, you need to understand the priorities of a beginner level player. Beginners have recently been introduced to the sport of squash & are getting the hang of the game. As they are not very skillful or are still learning the correct techniques, they will find it difficult on occasion to time their shots, will struggle to reach corners, and won’t be able to move around with ease or in the most energy efficient manner. What they need is a lightweight racket with a large sweet spot, at the same time capable of generating enough power. And the Head i110 ticks all those boxes.

This squash racket is made of titanium and carbon fiber, keeping the weight under control. On top of that, durability is not compromised as both carbon fiber and titanium are exceptionally strong. This is important for beginner players because they tend to hit the side & back walls of the squash court more often than those who have learnt to understand which shots to use at what time. It’s large head size comes with a larger sweet spot, making it easier for beginners to time their shots. Though it is not one of the premium rackets manufactured by Head, it includes the signature Head Intelfibre technology, providing more control by eliminating up to 20% vibration during impact.

It also has another signature technology from Head, called PowerFrame. It offers firm grip, advanced stability, and more power, combined with standard string tension. Beginners are not good at stringing their rackets, and they won’t have to do it themselves with this racket as it is pre-strung.

Pros

  • Lightweight
  • Enhanced Maneuverability
  • Intelfibre Technology
  • PowerFrame Technology
  • Large Sweet Spot

Cons

  • A bit on the expensive side

Take a look at these 5 star Amazon reviews written by actual purchasers of the Head i110 Squash Racket:

“It definitely help me improve my game. I am beginner-intermediate Level. It is nice and light but it has good power. I am very happy with it.” Review by G. Sanchez from the United States

“I am an average player and play squash 3-4 times per week. This is a lightweight racquet that handles well and enables some powerful hits. I also have a Head Ti100 racquet, but I like the i110 slightly better. Both Head racquets are durable. In the past three years, I broke 2 Prince and 1 Dunlop racquet, but the Head racquets are able to take a beating without breaking.” Review by MattMan from The USA

Just like Head, Tecnifibre is another big brand name in the squash racket industry. Their Carboflex series is a top choice for professional level players. The Carboflex 125 X-Speed is one of the best squash racquets the Carboflex series has to offer.

Intermediate level players are pretty good at squash. These players are obviously not as good as the pros, but they have played the game for a few months at least and understand the basic strategies very well. They are also skillful enough to make best use of the resources their racket has to offer. They wouldn’t mind a bit of weight, and a unique shaft geometry. That’s why I believe the Carboflex 125 X-Speed is the best racket for intermediate players.

I’d have to say this racket is a bit on the heavier side, weighing almost 130 grams. This weight is justified though because of the large head size it comes with. The weight distribution is done in a way that will not make you feel that your racket is a heavy one. The large head size is also complimented with DNMAX 1.2 “17 gauge strings, providing really decent control and power. You’ll immediately notice the crisp swing when you strike the ball.

Another great thing about the Tecnifibre Carboflex 125 X-Speed squash racket is its premium quality grip. The grip feels so good in your hand that very few players consider changing it when they first buy the racket, or even wrap an overgrip over it. Exactly what you need as an intermediate level squash player!

Pros

  • Large Sweet Spot
  • DNMAX 1.2 ’17 gauge Strings
  • Balanced Weight Distribution
  • Efficient Shaft Geometry
  • Unique Shaft Geometry

Cons

  • A bit on the heavier side

If I am to choose a squash racket for professional players, no wonder I would go with one from the Head Graphene series. This series is one of the most celebrated one among squash players all over the world, and rightly so.

The best part about the Graphene series is the variety of options it comes with. You need a heavy racket? This is series has one. You need a lightweight? The Graphene series got you covered. Graphene is the core material in this racket, and it is probably the most durable and flexible one around.

The actual brilliance can be seen on the design of this racket. It is a racket built for players with decent shot placement. It has a comparatively thinner beam for providing more aerodynamics. Coming with Graphene XT technology, the Head Graphene XT Xenon combines maneuverability very well with speed, without having to compromise with accuracy. This is why it’s one of the best squash racquets on the market today.

From the tip to the end of the grip, this racket has optimal distribution of weight. The top and bottom part is heavier than the middle, so that the players can generate more kinetic energy. You will be able to generate a lot of power with minimal energy.

Pros

  • Graphene 200 times stronger than steel so very durable racket
  • Optimal weight distribution
  • Great for shot placement
  • Perfect combination of speed and maneuverability
  • Compliments high level of play very well

Cons

  • Expensive

Conclusion

These are the three rackets I consider to be the best squash racquets for three different player categories. However, that does not mean that a beginner level player should not try a pro level racket. You should choose a squash racquet that feels best in your hand and which is able to support your playing style. Let me know your thoughts on this! Features and Specifications

Design and Build

There is nothing too fancy about the design of the Killerspin JET 600 table tennis paddle. From the outside, it looks exactly like any other regular ping pong paddle. But don’t let the ordinary look of it fool you, the fancy stuff is inside. Unlike most other paddles, it has FIVE layers of premium quality wood under the rubber. The wood used to manufacture this paddle is not the thickest, but among the strongest. As a result, it is the lightest paddle in the JET series, yet the strongest one. One thing I have to tell you, even though it is the lightest one in the JET series, it is slightly heavier than some other regular paddles, so keep that in mind.

While a lot of players prefer wrapping grips over their ping pong paddle handle, you can avoid that with the Killerspin JET 600 as the premium quality wood already feels great in your hand. It also comes with adequate coating to prevent your palm from getting strained. However, if you want to wrap a grip regardless, then go for thinner grips.

The Rubber

When it comes to determining the quality of a ping pong paddle, one of the most important factors is the quality of the rubber. Don’t worry about that even for a second with the Killerspin JET 600. ‘Killer Spin’ is in this paddle’s name, and for a good reason. The rubber used in this paddle is no ordinary one, it’s the Nitrx-4z! This rubber is famous for being able to generate a lot of spin. Did you get where the ‘Killer Spin’ comes from?

Well, there are many other rubbers that allow the players to generate a lot of spin, but most of them come with a significant disadvantage as well. Those rubbers tend to be really tacky and sticky which can make it more difficult to return high spin shots. You won’t have to face this problem if you use a paddle like the Killerspin JET 600, as Nitrx-4z takes care of that part as well. This is why the Killerspin Jet 600 paddle is a preferred choice for many advanced players as well. At such a high level, one would expect their opponents to be skillful, and only the best rubber can help a player excel against top level players.

The Sponge

Just like the rubber, you should also consider the type of sponge you want in your ping pong paddle. The Killerspin JET 600 comes with 2mm sponge which helps with proper ball placement. Without good quality sponge powerful shots might go long and outside the table without hitting the table surface. It is extremely important to keep the power balanced, so that you don’t lose points. The sponge in this ping pong paddle makes sure that the power is not just power, but controlled power. As a result, it can support multiple styles of play. If you are a finesse player, this paddle is for you. If you are a power player, this paddle is also for you! Such versatility is quite rare in relatively cheap table tennis paddles.

Pros and Cons

If you are looking to purchase a mid-range priced ping pong paddle for an advanced level of play, it’s no wonder that you’ll have to cut corners somewhere. After all, you only get what you pay for. The Killerspin JET 600 ping pong paddle does have some disadvantages, which I would like to mention along with the advantages in order to help you to make an informed decision before purchasing one.

Pros

  • This paddle is simply brilliant for players who like to create a combination of power and finesse in their playing style. In good hands, this paddle is as good as any premium paddle that costs way more.
  • It comes with the ITTF stamp of approval. This means, this paddle is ready for competition level table tennis.
  • Nitrx-4z is one of the best rubbers around that you see in a ping pong paddle. This amazing addition can make you a much better player in no time.
  • 5 layers of wood provides maximum durability in this table tennis paddle. You can use this paddle for many years.
  • Last but not least, I like the price point this paddle comes in at. It’s not the cheapest, but considering the returns you will receive from it, the price is absolutely reasonable.

Cons

  • Beginners might find it difficult to control the extra spin this paddle generates.

Should You Buy The Killerspin Jet 600?

It totally depends on your priorities. If you are a beginner level player and just want to enjoy table tennis during weekends, then I would not recommend this paddle to you. But if you are wanting to take your game to the next level and play in competitions then this is one of the best choices available to you.

Your playing style is another factor to be considered here. Players who solely depend on power and hitting the ball hard, might not like this paddle very much. If you are wanting a combination of precision and power, then I would highly recommend that you buy this paddle. You won’t be disappointed.
